Laser Scanning

Laser scanning uses a type of laser beam that is projected out to an object and the light reflecting back to the scanner is captured and recorded. All this collected data is then processed into a point cloud which creates a three-dimensional image. Laser scanning is done quickly and accurately and provides high levels of detail. Once the area is scanned, the data is transfered to the computer for alignment and registration, then optimized and exported to be used in various applications.
Laser Scans can be utilized in multiple ways.  Some of which are creating building floor plans or 3D models. They can be used in building renovations or additions to simulate equipment placement and determine if adequate space is available for the new equipment or process system. Laser Scans can also be used as a reference in a 3D drawing which eliminates the need to take onsite measurements and or pictures to be referenced later on in the design process.
Let our team scan, so your design team can keep doing the tasks they need to focus on to keep the project on schedule. We offer a laser scanning package. This includes the laser scanning, the registration process and a link that will provide you with 60-day access to view your point cloud project as well as the ability to download a RCP/E57  file to pass along to your design team. Extended viewing options are also available for an additional cost.  Overall cost is calculated by time spent onsite scanning and process/registration time offsite. The customer is responsible for travel time and costs. (gas, rental car, hotel, flight) Please reach out if you are interested in a quote.
If you need services in addition to the laser scanning package, this can also be provided at a separate cost. Some examples are 2D floor plans, 3D piping models and 3D equipment layouts. Let us know if this is something you would need and we can provide you with an additional quote.
